This Privacy Policy describes how Notes Diary — Simple Notepad ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (for email/password sign-in)
  • Name, email address, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google)

Content You Create

  • Notes you create within the app, including titles, body text, colors, and any reminders you set, are stored securely in our database (Google Firebase Firestore) and linked to your account.

Automatically Collected Information

  • We do not collect location data, device identifiers for advertising, or browsing activity outside the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Sync your notes securely across your devices
  • Send reminder notifications you have set for your notes
  • Maintain and improve the app's functionality

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or note content with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

Notes Diary — Simple Notepad uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore Database) — used to manage account sign-in and securely store your notes. Firebase's privacy policy is available at: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo as provided by Google. Google's privacy policy is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase's secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable technical measures, including authentication-based access rules, to protect your information from unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and notes for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted as described below.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (including all notes) directly within the app:

Open the app → Menu (⋮) → My Account → Delete Account

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Upon deletion:

  • All your notes are permanently removed from our database
  • Your account credentials are permanently deleted from Firebase Authentication

If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by contacting us at myguapp2@gmail.com, and we will process your request within 7 business days.

7. Children's Privacy

Notes Diary — Simple Notepad is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Notifications

If you set a reminder on a note, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the specified time. This feature does not require or use any external data beyond what you provide within the app.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (see Section 6)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
